Four claims you can check

Every advisor says "specialized." These are structural, and falsifiable.

Cybersecurity only

No other sectors. The large cyber banks average deal sizes in the hundreds of millions; generalist boutiques cover security as one vertical among fifty. BrimWall covers the cyber deals neither will staff.

The partner runs your deal

Your mandate isn't handed to an associate after the pitch. The person who executed acquisitions at Constellation Software runs your process, valuation to close.

One client per deal

We represent one party in any transaction and take one fee. When we act for a buyer, the seller has their own advisor. Never both sides, never a fee from across the table.

Confidential by default

Every mandate runs under NDA and a codename. Your company isn't named to any buyer until you approve it; outreach happens on your terms, not before.

Three services

Get ready to sell, sell, or vet what you're buying. One client per deal, always.

Exit readiness

Start 12–24 months before a process. A fixed-fee assessment scored against real buyer diligence: what acquirers will flag, and what each fix is worth. Then a quarterly retainer to close the gaps. The assessment fee is credited against a future sell-side mandate.

How readiness works

Sell-side advisory

Full-process representation: baseline valuation, positioning, targeted outreach from our acquirer database, negotiation, close. Success-fee based, buyer list approved by you before a single email goes out.

Sell-side in detail

Cyber due diligence

Fixed-fee, fixed-timeline diligence on security targets for acquirers, search funds, and independent sponsors. The pre-LOI look the Big 4 won't quote at this deal size, one no comparator firm offers.

What size of company does BrimWall work with?

The lower-middle market: founder-owned cybersecurity and security-adjacent companies. Most clients fall roughly between $1M and $50M ARR, but fit matters more than size. If you're outside our lane, we'll say so in the first call.

Who is buying cybersecurity companies right now?

Strategic security platforms, private-equity-backed consolidators, vertical software acquirers, search funds, and independent sponsors. The market is barbell-shaped: a handful of mega-deals at the top and steady sub-$50M transactions where BrimWall operates.

Does BrimWall represent buyers?

Yes, with one rule: one client per deal. We never advise both sides of the same transaction and never take a fee from the party across the table. When we represent a buyer, the seller has independent representation.

What does an engagement cost?

Sell-side mandates are success-fee based; retainers depend on the engagement and are agreed in writing before it starts. Exit-readiness assessments and diligence are fixed-fee, scoped up front, and the assessment fee is credited against a future sell-side mandate. No break-up fees. The valuation tool is free.

I'm not ready to sell. Should I still talk to you?

Yes. The best outcomes start 12 to 24 months before a process. That is what our exit-readiness service is for: a fixed-fee assessment of what buyers will flag, then quarterly work to close the gaps. Owners who prepare early sell for more.
